A press release by Opera confirmed that the final Internet Channel version for the Wii will be released in April 2007. It was previously announced that the browser would be available for download late March. The release date in April is still unknown at this stage. The release date was pushed back to April so a few more improvements could be added on. Wii Internet users will experience increase in speed, a new look to the buttons and toolbar, and an easier way in entering web addresses. The new browser will be available via the Wii Shop Channel when released next month and will be free to download until June. After the free period, it would cost 500 Wii points (in the US) to download the browser.
